Prashant as an Educational Advisor

Recently I have been appointed in the advisory committee of Shree Sharda Vidya Mandir, a reputed school of Ahmedabad. They have more than 1200 students learning in different standards.

They expect me to look after two factors in the regular activities of the school.

1)Suggest and implement the strategies to improve the overall performance of the students.
2)Suggest and implement the strategies to enable the organization with the power of Information technology and computers

I will be happy doing these kind of activities where I can be helpful others carving their life paths. I have many ideas to implement but I think I have to go slow as I have to sail against the storm. According to me education is one which enables a person understanding and living his or her life in much better way and not just to get passed in exams and get a clerical job.

I hope I will do my work at its best.

Who will die when you cry?

Robin Sharma has written a book with title, “Who will cry when you die?”. I have not read this book yet but its about self development and growing goodness within you. It motivates you to become such a human kind, that when you die, people feel your absence and cry for you. (we have many people around us, for whom we cry till they are alive!!!)

But I think you have marked the difference between the title of the book and title of the blog. Who will die when you cry? In this world of terror, throat cut competition, social relationship break ups and great moral downturn, a person feels emptiness and get depressed of it. Finally they cry. Many people have enough reasons to cry because the grief they have been gifted by their destiny. But ever you thought whether your cry is making any difference or no? Will it improve your situation? will it convince other persons? At once or twice it may, but not for life time. In gujarati there is a saying “Dukh ni Mudi Par Sahanubhuti nu Vyaj Levu” (earning the returns in form of sympathy on the capital of grief). Many people have habits to get their work done from others by expressing their situation and tears in their eyes. They may be right on their situation. But will your tears make any difference to you or others? They may have or 1 or 2 hours for you to spend but not every time and every day. No one can be with you every time.

You must have to learn fighting your own battle. Be bold, be strong and take the whole responsibility on your own shoulders. You are the responsible for the current situation and for future as well. Lord Krishna can drive the horse cart, but arrows must be handled by arjuna only. Will any person die for you when you cry? no, never. So start acting now, you are the creator of your own destiny. You have again two choice to follow, Who will die when you cry? Or Who will cry when you die? I always live for second one. You are heartily invited for the same.

Playing Flute

I have been very passionate about playing flute since many years. I was always dreaming to play nice flute. Though classical music is not of my interest but this instrument is. Hence I have started learning it before a month, off course for my own interest and satisfaction. Today I have played Vaishnav jan to……… in raag Khamaj. Feeling very happy. One of my many dreams achieved.

My master tells me I am the fastest person in his career of 70 years. This might be due to my eagerness that I have within me since many years.

Indies is going to adopt schools

Teaching is always a favorite thing to do for me. I believe teaching is not educating others but to spend some time together to share your views, knowledge and joy. Though its very hard for me to spare some time from routine business activities, I love doing it. If they are children of age 5 I feel I am in a blooming garden where their sensible touch and sweet words provide me deep calmness and happiness. If they are college youth I feel myself very dynamic and vibrant and full of energy. If I would not be a businessman I would be a teacher or professor.

Now I am going to adopt schools. This will happen under the banner of Indies Service (my Professional company) and Prashant Mamtora Foundation (Not for profit organization) I have been applied to Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation for same and the application is under consideration and at final stage. I have visited many schools before few days and finalized for 4 of them.

My plan is to apply some practical changes in the education process. I don’t want every of them to become a doctor or engineer. Whether they become plumber or electrician, carpenter or street hawker, they should be responsible person and citizen. They do good whatever they do.

Your views, ideas, and help (hey not financial) are most welcome for this.

Cant change the situation? change your attitude.

You have been driving for an important meeting for one hour. The destination is still one hour away and you stuck in a traffic jam. A long queue of vehicles, making noise of unnecessary horns, you have not moved more than few meters for last half an hour. You secretary, manager and finally you client starts calling you. You are losing your patience. You have made enough preparation, for meeting starting from presentation to timely start of the same. You are just frustrating as all your efforts are going in vain. You are going to miss the meeting and possibly the opportunity. Situation is not in your control at any how. What will you do now?

You have many options to do. You can start quarrelling with others, blaming the roads and government and even to your luck, get frustrated, get excited and loose your temperament, and many more. But before you start doing any of this, just think of one question. “Will it change the conditions?” And if the answer is no, why should you harm your mind and body? Many times in our life, situation will not be in our control. If we cant change them we should change our attitude. Just look over the situation from other angles and let that supreme decide your fate in this situation.

Like same way, there are more than 6 billion people in this world, not every one of them will adjust with you, if you want to exist with them just adjust with them. Change your thoughts; never try to change the situation or the people. You will be one more example of failed life in this case.

Samarath Ko Nahi Dosh Gusai - Ramayana

Samarath Ko Nahi Dosh Gusai....

This may be one of the most ..... Chopai of Ramayana. It means Capable never come in fault. Does it mean they are free to do whatever they want? Is everything right for him? aren't they liable to law?

Normally people interprets this Chopai like this.

But i understand this in different manner.

Only those are Capable who do right. One should say himself Capable if he never do mistakes.

And only one such entity is there in this world which the supreme power himself.

So is the only Capable in this universe.

What is Time?

Time is :
  • Two slow for those who wait
  • Too slow for those who fear
  • Too slow for those who grieve
  • Too short for those who rejoice
  • But it is eternity for those who love……..

Remember

Not let thy golden days be spent in vain, once gone not even gold can buy them back.

God is there in everyone - Bhagwad Gita Lesson

All religious people may believe in their own god though none of them ever seen that divine power. This may also be one reason why, every of them interprets God differently.

Bhagavaan shree Krishna says in bhagvad gita.

“Yachchapi sarva bhutanam bijam tadham arjun, na tadasti vina yatsyan maya bhut chara char”

Means : there is no live or dead particle without me in this whole universe.

A nice funny story on this.

Once a guru had a follower. Guru taught him that every one is a form of god. God is there in every one. Now one day the follower went to the market place for some work. Suddenly a mad elephant appeared, crushing everything coming its way. The master of the elephant was shouting to tell others to stay away from elephant and people were running like anything to save their lives. The follower came to know about the elephant and he remembered the lesson his guru taught to him. He decided not to run away, thinking that elephant won’t harm him as there is the god in it as well. Elephant came nearer and master of the elephant shouted quite a few times to run away. But follower stayed there, elephant came nearby to him and thrown away him with its trunk. After couple of hours the follower awaked and seen his guru sitting nearby to him. He asked him why the elephant thrown him as the same god is there as per his lesson? Guru told. Very true, but same lord was there in elephant master as well. Why he did not followed his advice?

This is the problem with all of us. We all interprets the god as per our convenience and expects he always favor us.

How a leader should be?

Mukhia Mukh so Chahie, Khan pan kahu ek
Palai poshai sakal ang. Tulasi sahit bibek

This beautiful chopai of Ramayan is the part of ayodhya kand and presented by tulsidas during the story of Ram and Bharat’s union In the forest of Chitrakut

It means leader should be like mouth in our body. Mouth is the only organ which drinks and eats, but all other parts of body get nutrition and grow together as a body. Same way leaders should feed their organization in terms of thoughts, funds, disciplines and by all other means to ensure the organization grow as a whole.

Ramayana and Mahabharata in simplest form

This is dedicated to those great great greedy saints, babas, lecuturers, gurus and all those who took the “responsibility” of saving the human kind by giving their long talk and unwanted religious advise.

Mahatma Gandhi : The people of this country are very simple and innocent. They don’t understand poetry scriptures of Ramayana and Mahabharata. All the want is short but affective form of Ram and Krishna’s life in simplest form and own language.

Gita Saar - Essence of Bhagwad Gita

Angriness is the child of unfulfilled wishes. Angriness brings attachment which than will be converted in any form of Lust. Lust pushes the person in the great deep of stress, restlessness, insomnia and other psychological problems. This ends at last in a failed life story.

It does’t mean we should not have wishes. They are must for success and progress. But they must be observed and controlled carefully by one’s discrimination Also do all what you can do to achieve your desires and dedicated your efforts to that supreme power. Let him care about your happiness. This is the ultimate essence of Bhagwad Gita. The Gita Saar.

Silence | The most powerful speech, control your self with strength of silence

Everyone around us have power of Silence within them, hardly a few of us use it. But those who use it are never need to speak anything to convince their views to others. As its required to cool down a hiten up car, its also desired you allow your self to be calm at least 15 minutes every day. At your home, office or in the garden wherever you find a peaceful place, spend there some time with yourself every day. If possible try to be in touch with nature. During this time, explore yourself more. Let yourself be open. Life will come with full of joy towards you.

Work Life balance of young professionals

Kripali is a workaholic with little time for fun Kripali Dave, 29, single, working in a BPO for two and a half years.
Parents live in Pune and she is alone in Hyderabad. Damini is tall, smart, and speaks eloquently She has a ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude on the exterior but is sensitive and easily hurt. Has been in and out of relationships. And thus wants to give relationships some time to mature.
Is smart but is quite a walkover, emotionally
She works in an 11 am to 8 pm shift, Monday to Friday. Often timings change to 9 am to 10 pm.
A typical week day in her life unfolds somewhat like this:
07.30 am – Alarm goes off but is shut down.
08.30 am – Pushes herself out of bed, bathes and cooks breakfast
09.45 am – Takes the company cab to work.
10.45 am – Swipes into office.
11.00 am – Goes to boss’s office for the morning review meeting.
02.00 pm – Decides to walk five floors to the cafeteria for lunch but it seems tough today, maybe tomorrow.
03.00 pm – Meetings and more meetings .
06.00 pm – Catches a quick snack and coffee.
07.00 pm – Reviews problems and feedback from the night shift teams.
09.15 pm – Waits for the office cab.
10.30 pm – Back at home sweet home. Must rustle up to some warm dinner. But who has the energy to cook? Home delivery is such a convenient option.
11.30 pm – Boyfriend has been calling . Feels like saying “no,” but her loneliness compels her to have some company

Work seems to be all that Kripali has time for. If her health is going down and weight going up, is it because of her timings, lack of determination or laziness? She seems to be in a vicious cycle and needs to get out of it.

Exercise is a must and she must get up early in the morning and work-out for twenty minutes. Meditation and yoga might help. A proper diet chart is what she needs and for that she must consult an expert . There is no job that doesn’t have long hours but a work-life balance can be drawn. This is the right time to put her act together and these few changes in the cycle of life will help. And yes most she needs is a family, care from parents, love of a husband and joy from children. Human can’t live alone.

Purpose of our life : Let always remain fit so god can choose us to do his work nicely

What is the ultimate aim of our life? Many of us are asking this kind of question. Many of us are searching by themselves. If we see it in right way, we don’t have any aim, only God have an aim. We are just a tool for every of his task and a character for every of his play. A mechanic uses different screw drivers to open different size and shape of screws. Same way god chooses us for different kind of works of him. So all that we need to do is to remain fit by physic, by soul and by money so that whenever he needs a tool, he can choose us. That’s what we called as a success otherwise others are ready perform your roll. Let always remain fit so god can choose us to do his work nicely.

Be amongst them : The Gandhian way of man making

There is a poet in Gujarati “Paapi ne Tu Pyaar Kari le Paapi no Uddhar thashe” It means accept the sinful people and his sins might be washed away. To serve others, you should be among them.
Once while Mahatma Gandhi was in England, a local missionary invited him for lunch every Sunday at their place. Mr. Gandhi accepted. The family in which children were there, was Non-vegetarian. However children though very small, asked on one Sunday “Why Mr. Gandhi is not being served these few dishes?” . “he is Vegetarian” Father replied.
“Why is he vegetarian?”
“It’s a sin to eat animals in their religion. They say it’s cruel ”.
“Then why we do?”
“In our religion it’s not cruel to kill and eat animals”
“It’s not fair. We have seen, when we kill animals they are running away, they are crying, shouting. They might have pain. We also will never eat non-veg from now”.
Don’t know what happened with children then but the father regretted Mr. Gandhi and refused to come for lunch any more.Never resist any one, be among them to correct them.

My passion towards book, reading and my ambition about a library

Reading is always my passion. Till date I used nearly every library of Bhavnagar city. I remember that day when I was of about 12-13 years. I was the member of the library of a small and beautiful library of my tuition classes. Nearly every day I used to finish one book and replaces it. I think I am the one who kept the librarian most busy. One day I came to know that, next day I had to go out for some reasons and will not be able to go to classes. Oh my god…… not because of education but a book for which I got worried. On that day I left the classes at about 5 o clock with a biography of sir Isaac Newton, of about 100 pages. I started reading and finished it on a single sitting at about 8 o clock. Went again to the library for a new book. Librarian asked don’t you liked this? I said very much. “Then why are you giving back”- he asked. “Its completed”- I replied. And he starred at me for a while, murmured something and allocated me a new book. At present I have a collection of more than 1000 books and magazines. Now I think of starting library. I want to share with other what I collected till date.
